Onsite Technology
No matter the project or what stage it is in, there are always gaps to be found. That is where our onsite technology services come in and provide clarity. With a streamlined process, we effectively assess the situation, identify potential issues or risks, recommend solutions, and work collaboratively with your team to plan the best path forward. With the years of experience, our team of professionals has in construction, we understand your needs and what it takes to achieve a successful project.
Construction and technology are forever married together. Let us show you the benefits of using the latest technology to help gain efficiencies for your project teams.

With the increase in BIM and BIM Coordination on projects, it only makes sense to utilize new technologies to support layout for installation. While traditional methods can still be effective, our customized Trimble layout process allows for a more accurate and precise way to lay out points in the field efficiently. Those efficiencies result in a gain in construction schedules, ultimately leading to project savings.

When you hear existing conditions, you hope it means current existing conditions and not something from 20 years ago. But as we know, that is not always the case. By utilizing 3D Laser Scanning technology, we can capture space conditions accurately and precisely in a non-destructive manner. By understanding the data’s purpose and use, our team can strategically move through a space to fulfill your project needs.

Point clouds are a fantastic but extensive resource with which not everyone can work. We recognize that and have a team of trained professionals committed to understanding accuracy requirements and converting those point clouds into 3D models that can be used during the design or construction coordination process. With great attention to detail and focus on quality, our models can confidently be considered accurate existing conditions models.

Here at VEC, we want to challenge the status quo. So, when we saw tape and Sharpie being used as the industry standard for labeling conduits, devices, and equipment during construction, we said to ourselves, “There must be a better way.” From this, our system was developed and refined to streamline the labeling process, reduce mistakes in the field, and increase installation efficiencies.

Documentation on any job site has its challenges, but with 360° technology, we can capture site conditions and construction progress quickly and efficiently. By assessing the job site, we can deploy the right technology for the job, whether walking the site or flying it utilizing our drone technology. This photo/video documentation of the job site provides you with a virtual walkthrough.
